I have only just got mt mk4 but it has come with the old style mobile phone kit. Aerial on the back window, speaker in the footwell, mic by the rear view mirror, you know the score. I have traced almost everything but i am at a loss as to how to get the stereo out to get to the final wiring. I take the stereo main face off, but i've got no keys(not an issue) but i cant get the black plastic surround off to get to any key ways. Am i being a pratt or is there a knack i am missing.

Sorted it guys. Turns out it was a dodgy install with the car being all botched in. Got it out and straightened it up and it's fine now
