Another black bumper thread.......Bought another valver with the intention of using it for parts and turned out to be in better condition than my current one..Only thing is the bumpers are a bit faded but besides that mint...Have been using the black shoe polish for years on my current valver but open now for a more permanent solution...
Know halfords do a black spray paint for the bumpers but was going to give this a try...Know theres linseed oil, autoglm etc but just looking to either spray with the rattle cans specically for the job or else the heat gun option below...
So.....anybody used the heat gun? Does it last and did it damage the surrounding paint?
Or..
Has anybody gone down the halfords black plastic trim paint route? And did that last?
If the heat gun worked woudl be the easiest long term solution

dont spray them with paint, imo worst thing to do!
-
seen a few paint jobs gone very wrong myself...heat gun looks the biz tbh
-
linseed oil goes on well, you don't need much, costs peanuts, last for ages, and works
-
them heat guns look a good job
-
The heat gun looks so easy though
-
Borrowed a heat gun from work and took the plunge.....Video footage is very poor but was concentrating on the bumpers rather than the vid but ul get the idea...bumpers were practically grey, very faded....All I can say is im very impressed let me know what ye think....
Cheers
