Title: Mk2 Golf Big Bumper fitting help... yes i have a pair of arms!

Just want to know about the clip that the bumper slides onto, it has two pegs inside - are these crucial? cos i ordered a set and one of the clips has one of these missing!  :cry:

aye the two pegs lock the clip into the wing

you can buy replacement brackets from German Swedish French for 1.50. just make sure you take the existing bracket with you as they stock two types

if its a VAG bumper then no you cant. you can however just make a new lug from a piece of tin and rivet it to the existing bracket

I,ll get the bumper off and see whats what as the last owner knocked the bumper off and i need to check the other mounting spots.Has any body got a b bumper for sale anywhere near northamtonshire just incase its not repairable???
