Title: are head gaskets common on on m4 tdi

hi guys i noticed my temp guarge went over 90 then dropped strait away :huh: so i pulled up and took the cap off the bottle it hist a little but didnt gush out?? so i did a block test and it went slightly green? so im assuming the head needs to come off?? anyone else had this problem?
