Title: RNS510 Hard Drive Track Order
Post by: Buck on 18 April 2011, 23:41
Hi

Copied a few albums across to the HDD on the RNS510 this weekend

When I playback though it plays the tracks in alphabetical order (The track names don't include the track number)

Is there anyway to get the unit to play in track order (using the IDv3 tag) or will I have to rename all the tracks

thanks

I had to rename all my tracks with track number at start using a leading 0 ie 01..... , 02..... etc

I used a program called MP3tag which made it very easy..

Thanks Mike

Was hoping there was something I was missing in the set up :(

I use Tag&Rename which will be v similar but was hoping to avoid!

Mine always plays them in the order that its meant to.  I can't think that I've done anything special to them to get this - other than copy the folders they're in from my 'my music/itunes' folder.
I don't know if iTunes does something special to them to keep them in the right order?

I end up with a memory card full of folders (usually artist - album) with the MP3 files inside there.  I'll have to check whether they've got 01, 02 etc infront of them... but I don't *think* so?
