Title: oil cooler?

wanna put an oil cooler on the mk2 saw 104 on th` mfa the other day on the motorway, ok it was at 110 but still i wanna put one on, but dont know where to start. any ideas. :smiley:

Mocal are ok, but retain the OEM cooler as it also warms up the oil faster, keeping your engine healthy for longer. When did you last change the oil? Sort the root issue before attacking the symptoms.

I fitted a Mocal Oil cooler and it certainly did it's job. I was seeing 120* on a very hot day of driving it hard. They do also offer a sandwich plate with a thermostat to allow the oil to warm up quicker thats quite handy.

2k ago? i do it regular really its every 3k and i only drive it at weekends and i always check it.

Is it a valver? Mine runs at them temperatures, fan cuts in and out no worries.

I'm not an expert on oils but they make a difference on running temperatures, also change your coolant if you haven't already done so :wink:. Flush the coolant system though with a hose before filling up again with g12/water
