Title: interior colour change question?

right, like many people on here im thinking of recovering my headlining and painting my interior trims, my question to you is, i have a sunroof in my car, which will prob be awkward enough to cover anway but what do i do (or did you do) about painting the interior light unit? i ask because if i just paint it satin black or similar i'll lose the signs on the buttons. pictures would be a great help if you have any, appreciate any suggestions you have.
