I have managed to obtain an instruction manual on ebay. Would people be interested in me scanning this and making a PDF version? This is from an H reg Golf, so should be appropriate for all versions of the mk2.

That's a good link. However that is for the Haynes service manual rather than the VW owners instruction manual.
