Title: Window wash
Post by: shaolindan on 16 April 2011, 13:28
I filled up the window jetwash reservoir the other day, with 4 litres. It is now 3/4 empty even though I haven't used it.

The hose connecting to the jets near the windscreen had become detached a while back and I fixed that with a cable tie. There doesn't seem to be a hole in the reservoir and the hose that i fixed seems to be fine. There is no water under the car where it is parked.

Does anyone have any ideas where to look next? I don't want a leak somewhere inside the car, as this would obvious cause a rust issue.

Well if the bottle itself isn't leaking, and you see no water outside, it probably is leaking inside somewhere. Does your rear washer work? If not its prob down on pressure at the back via a split. Think its not too un-common for them to go at the back end, around tailgate etc..check for damp in the boot, actually lift the carpet up etc don't just pat it to feel for damp..when one of my front pipes leaked the washers still worked, but just used shed loads of water!!

I'm gonna check on that now, now that I have finished watching qualifying.

check behind the boot card/carpet on the passenger side, there is a washer pipe connection in there which is prone to fallin off
