Title: Engine Flush
Post by: hmeah on 14 April 2011, 17:38
Wanted to know if its safe to conduct an engine flush and what to use? i been told i should try this to quieten down the noise from the chain tensioner, i have replaced the cambelt but the noise is still there and reading from some post it seems the engine flush helps reduce the noise...

any recommendation much appreciated...

Same here, using a good quality fully synthetic oil should prevent having to use a flushing oil, especially on such a modern car.  Maybe if it's your dads old Austin Maxi that been running on 30sae mineral oil then a flushing oil or additive might be a good idea.
