Welcome ........

Nice car and congratulations; but black (absorbs heat) in the heat of Dubai?

I still have a problem with the looks of those LED Bi-Xenons. But ETTO.

Post your pictures on the dedicated photo sticky.

Great colour choice mate, hope you enjoy it.

I too am not sure about the LED DRL's they remind me a bit of jewelry like a pearl necklace..

Looks good. May I ask how much they cost out there? Just been offered a job flying for Emirates and trying to plan for cars etc...

Same colour as mine so I'm biased when I say it looks awesome. Still don't like those LEDs at the front though - makes it look like a 17 year old nob head's souped up Corsa!!!

If it is fully loaded that means you got it for about £10k less than it would cost here

Your new car looks great. Love the colour

I was in Dubai a few weeks back. Stayed at the Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah. http://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-and-resorts/destinations/dubai/madinat-jumeirah/al-qasr-hotel/

What an amazing hotel. We loved it. Stupidly expensive but we were very lucky as my Mrs folks paided for us.

In the taxi to the hotel I spotted a brand new fully loaded GTI in black. The taxi driver must have thought I was a right sad git as I was frantically trying to find my phone to take a picture of this car ( the wife was even less impressed )

The Al Qasr is a lovely hotel,  one of the best in Dubai for sure.  Glad you enjoyed your stay.  Where did you go in Dubai while you were here?

Are those LED DRLs now standard with Xenons?

They seem to be a bit of a fad at the moment, some look OK some don't.

I think that may put a few people off the Xenons.

I've just had a look on the VW configurator - the cost of my car new is a whopping £27,999

That's an increase of 5K in 18 months!!

I've seen them on and up close as a friend has one with them.  They look as bad as you think and actually look worse than that.  Horrible, even Audi crap ones look better.  Sorry guys but it's the truth.

They'll be fitting blue lights under the car next!!!! Sorry, but front LEDs suggest either Chav souped up Corsas or naff Audis driven by footballers.
The GTi is supposedly the classiest hot hatch. With those it may as well be a VXR!!!

Just my opinion.

You're forgiven, is the ride really better on 17"? to be honest I find my ride is comfortable enough, but this could be because of ACC.

Laws of physics and all that....

Yes 17" are more comfortable.

And cheaper.
And faster.
