Title: no first and second gear

just changed the clutch on my brothers mk2 cl ,changed the clutch cable,problem being i cant get first and second gears has any one got any ideas

you've knocked the selector ?

have a read of the linkage repair guide. also check the adjustment on the cable, should be able to lift it upwards about 10mm at the box end if its a manual cable
