Title: Daft question time about wheels/nuts
Post by: jkp on 12 April 2011, 20:00
As it seems I may have a while to wait on the GTD I decided that I need to change the wheels on the wifes mk6 tdi. She currently has 15" steelies and rather  trims, so managed to get my hands on a set of Vancouvers with near new tyres

So daft question time....will the wheel bolts that are on the steelies be fine for the Vancouvers? Or are the ones for alloys different.

Also need a decent set of lockers. Any recommendations?

Thanks

The bolts will be the same if they are both VAG wheels.

Any locking wheel nut sets will be fine, as long as you get the standard length, and make sure they are radius seat bolts, not 60 degree taper bolts - OEM uses radius seat, many aftermarket wheels use taper seat.

Thanks for that.

I'll probably get a set for lockers from the dealer next time I'm passing.

Did you get the Vancouvers from ebay on a while back? :)

Got them last week off ebay. Struck a deal to end the auction early.
