Hi Guys
Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the posts. I have found the forum invaluable for information about my GTI. Ordered it in May 2010, collected it in December 2010? I have ACC and does anyone know if that is the reason I do not have the little storage box in the boot on the right hand side? The trim has no provision for it. Photos will be posted when I get the car back from the body shop. It seems somebody decided to run a sharp object all down one side of the car in a multi-storey car park.!!! No CCTV of course.  :cry:

How awful regarding the mishap to your car. Makes me sick.  :sick: :cry: :angry:
I have ACC and do not have this storage box in the boot. This is the first time I have heard of this!

Had mine keyed when it was a month old - not nice.

Welcome and I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. I'd be beyond consolable if that happened to me. I'd have a death squad out for them.

Not making light of this as I would remove their limbs with a blunt instument. But is it a colour thing that attracts this - black? ( the car that is :wink:)

Mine has ACC and no storage box in boot as in wifes Mk5 GTI. Always wondered why, put it down to known cost cutting by VW with the MK6.

ETKA shows the control unit for ACC in that area of the boot so maybe that's why.

Hi All

Many thanks for the comments. The car is in the bodyshop this week.

It seems that since the control unit for the ACC is on the right hand side of the boot the luggage box is omitted.

The dealer did not know about this! Surprise!
