Post by: manc01 on 11 April 2011, 14:23
Just wanted to know if any used poshwashlondon for diamond refurb, as the VW garage recommended them to me as they get theirs done there apparently? Just thought get impartial recommendation. i did do quick search and nothing came up on the forum.

Not shure about the place you mention but loads have used A1 wheels in the west midlands with great results.

Hey, new to this site, great to see so many geeks like me so besotted by our Golf GTI's. I've had my Mk 5 for 5 yrs now and still love it. I have some clouding on my alloys which I have had refurbed at Pristine Wheels in Milton Keynes over the last few yrs but this 'fogging' has come back. Any suggestions where else to use as they have this diamond cut which rules out many refurb companies? Anyone know anymore garages in the East Midlands?  billyboy :)

Fogging will always come back - problem is the lacquer isn't adhering to the diamond cut surface. Known problem with BBS alloys. Occurs on BMW alloys too.

If you still diamond cut, a refurb is what you're looking at. Otherwise get them refinished.
