Gilly, can't believe how nice, clean and dent-free your car looks.
Love the black door mirror housing and your rims.

Very nice Gilly. Our those Audi split rims?

The car looks great. Like the black wing mirrors also.

Asker, I seem to remember you took the pee out of me for suggesting I paint my wing mirrors black. Something about being an R wannabe. But I forgive ya

LOL on closer inspection of the photo I can see what you mean. Bloody annoying that. Had some prize pr*ick on two wheels mess my wing mirror up. The covers are cheap as chips to buy and then you just need get them painted at a bodyshop. If I was you I'd whip the other one off at the same time and get them both painted in gloss black ( I wish I had of done at the time ).

Can I ask do the 19's affect the ride quality. The wheels look fantastic on the car.

My personal experience with the 19s is that they don't feel any worse than the 18s. I don't have ACC.
Can't remember what the ride was like on 17s as I only had them on there for 150 miles!

When they were first fitted on the car they felt REALLY heavy. I then took it on myself to check pressures... 17psi back and 19psi fronts

Since they have been topped up I would say i prefer the ride over both the 17's and 18's. They feel more planted and offer so much more grip than the bridgestones provided.

That's what ACC is for

Now Gillypooos, bashfulness is not your forte. I am sure your rim can be split with ease.

I use 18's for summer and 17's for winter. To be honest the only difference I notice is the roar of the tyre in the cabin which comes down to the tyre make Must say I really like 19's. Think I will go for that size in the next GTI.

Those wheels look fantastic.

17" with ACC is my choice though, here's why...

Cheaper to spec.
Cheaper to buy tyres.
More comfortable.
No white worm.
ACC gives brilliant weekend grip and stability.
Much cheaper kerbing damage costs.
Cheaper winter tyres, and better wheels for winter.

And faster.

I think I'm one of the few on here who has the 17", ACC and bluefin - what a package :lipsrsealed:

Just don't get an Audi A1, PLEASE. It looks crap, IMO.
Just driven a silver one belonging to a work-friend. Beautifully made. Nice for hairdressers.

I've still yet to see one of those little Audi bubble cars on the road.
Snoopy likes them and he appreciates a bit of engineering integrity so that's good enough for me. Too small for me though.

I reckon Gilly's going to get a Golf R, or leave the marque altogether and get something big and meaty.

As for the A1.. seen a really nice black one fully spec'd up at the petrol station yesterday. Nice little looker I have to say!! Not the car for me though... far too small and girly.
