hi all,
got a problem with my jetta  the reversing lights dont seem to work. they was working about a week ago but was told today that they dont work. iv had a look over the bulbs and checked the wireing but i cant figure whats wrong. all the other lights are working and its gave me a head ache lol. iv googled this problem and found that it could be the switch in the gear box but i wouldnt know now to find an easy way of checking this. i did have a towbar and removed it along with electrics that were connected and its got me thinking it could be this. can any body help a fellow dubber in need

Pull the plug off the switch on the gearbox, bridge the terminals and see if they light, if so the switch is faulty.

as above, with the ignition on :)

If you need a new switch I've got one mate, bought it after my mechanic said they don't work, I looked and saw the terminal had come off, worked after that ! pm me if you need one.
