As always just after payday the mrs says to me to not spend any more money on the bloody cars.. so as a man i agree knowing full well im still going to buy parts..
Well it started with loads of small purchases spray paint for my mk2 etc...
And then i just decided to buy myself a stage 2 hybrid turbo for my 150pd with a large bore downpipe included.. all for the lovely sum of £400 delivered.. Has only done 3000miles apparently but will get it checked by a professional before fitting to make sure its all tip top..
This is the stage 2 by turbo dynamics and they rate it good for 240 to 260bhp   which should be a lot of fun.. I want to install it ASAP but i tihnk i will hold off as its still running standard brakes and i think i killed them a couple of weeks back   Roll on Porsche brakes
After fitting it will be taken up to RTech for a custom stage2 map
Watch this space !!!!
-
Also forgot to add ive just bought a new pipercross panel filter.. and EGR delete pipe..
Do i need anything else before mapping this turbo ?? injectors etc ??
-
Turbo may be rated for 240 but your injectors wont get you anywhere near it
Have a read of aRD and bobby singhs projects
-
Yer been looking at 783cc race injectors like ard uses
-
you have to much monies!! i wana go live back @ home with my mum!! id have a spare £1200 a month then!
-
  Should be fun when its all up and running.. Wana get it to run a safe 240/250bhp.. thats the most you can get out of the cam theres no more duration after that... then you need forged rods and a bigger cam etc so not worth the hastle... just gona be good dusting you 1.8t's off
-
haha yeah sounds like a plan... every day i think about getting rid of mine for more power... im liking the s4 or new s3.. but not really wanting to be in debt for a car
-
Your right there mate im always looking at new cars.. I will get this running how i want it and keep it for a while make it mint and sell it on... I fancy a Clio V6 next  Dont ask me why they just one of my favourite cars..
-
Rhys been speaking to Bobby Singh all morning and he says the injectors are good for 225/230bhp... and he recommends changing them for Race 783cc ones.. Only downside these injectors are £650 just for parts before fitting plus you need new bolts etc... Looking at like £800 for injectors fitted
Need to think a new strategy or earn some more money lol
-
Best start pimping the missus out then
-
Good idea
-
Now have some Boxster S front callipers and 312mm EBC discs on way
-
Send us some money from that tree of yours!!

ouch because of injector cost ??
Yes
-
Yer that was my first thought.. I can't see how they can charge that for just injectors I was expecting £200-250..
-
Has anyone here priced up the Allard solid boost pipe kit ??
I emailed them a few days ago and got a reply today.. its £275 + 14.50 for P+P... Is it me or does that seem bloody expensive for a kit which from everything ive read doesnt fit very well ??
-
I think its comparable to the sfs kit :undecided:
Sadly there are few companies out there that offer decent solutions as they still use the crappy clip connections
-
doesnt it also only go from intercooler to egr and no pipes for turbo to intercooler :undecided:
I think sfs is the best option especially now as they use alot of hard pipes
-
Well the SFS one is still £232 before postage.. So the prices are pretty similar so its whatevers best.. Theres a few kits on the SFS website not sure which is which :undecided:

Steve was looking into this and worked out a combination of the Allard and SFS would be the best solution
Think it came to about £450 mind :lipsrsealed:
-
Sod that think i will just get the Allard kit at the end of the month after payday.. and my mrs's dad is a welder so if i have to cut and shut pipes im all good.. but tbh for like £300 for a few pipes you tihnk they could have mastered the design to fit !

Where would the fun be if the kit fitted perfectly?  You can't expect to fit something without at least a bruised knuckle or several
-
I haven't seen my knuckle bones for a few months i cant wait
Thing is after the boost kit and injectors should be pushing a very healthy bhp
-
Well as my luck has it went to fit the decat today and sheered one of my turbo studs so annoying !!! left the standard pipe fitted as dont want to shear another !! so pissed off
-
