Oks my TT comps are foobard a lot of lacquer peel and i cant drive round like it any more feel like people are looking my golf and it makes it look even worse then it is so got home and wiped off the fronts . . . . . only have these alloys and two axle stands so doing fronts first,

Only sanding the lacquer off ATM as i am refurbishing them after i move in to my new house so skint and cant pay out for anything ATM so doing this first i Just cant drive round with my alloys looking like this anymore  :sick:

Whats best way to get the lacquer off ? any tips and tricks or is it just sand till your fingers bleed as its very hard going and not got that much off ATM there pitted and the last owner has kerb them  :undecided:

Best bet and easy way is to get them shot or bead blasted.

doing that when i refurb them after the move just want the lacquer off them ATM

Spent 10min with some wet-dry early getting the worse of the peel off well the lose stuff lol, got the house to myself tomorrow going to spend it sanding i gess, anything well look better then the horrible lacquer peel. hope i have fingers left by the end of it lol

to good weather has stoped play, was just going to work on it all day but i am week when it comes to BBQ's got this far before my mate rang me to go over to his for a BBQ and a drink . . . so wont be working on these till tomorrow after noon, so its back on the car look a tiny bit better in some ways in others it looks a right mess should finish it tomorrow then only 3 more to go. :blink:

This is where i am atm been to many sun/beer distractions lol plus the fun i had with lossing my locking wheel nut and then finding  lol
there in a bad way lots of pitting

no forward movement on the  TT's ATM as i have to replace both front bearing at £165 including VAT so  :sad:
