Thanks for the message about big boys toys. I've looked at there website and they do an exchange engine for 8v and you get one of there 1900cc engines all ready to be fitted with gas flowed head for 1300 pounds. Would you recommend that? If so do you know anywhere for it to be fitted and how much am I looking at for it to be fitted. I thought I might aswell replace the engine rather than spending money on stem seals and then finding out I have to replace pistons.

that does not sound too bad for a complete motor as i have seen heads only advertised for as much as ?700 :cry:
I do my own engine work as i am too tight too pay someone else. :angry:as far as fitting goes why dont you give it a go yourself it is not too dificult on an 8v if you take out the whole engine/gearbox assembly together if not i think big boys toys have a fitting service as well but any half decent garage should be a ble too do it in a day for you
