Title: Mot fail and Cat decision
Post by: kingbling83 on 05 April 2011, 18:25
Hello boys and girls, today i had the Mot and it failed on the de cat with emitions and a slack hand brake cable.

Will i notice a massive difference with power if i put the cat back on and get rid of the de cat.

My car is running a ko3s ecu custom remap fmic and loads of other tings

you will notice a difference if you put a standard cat back on, the difference in bore size of the pipes is massive.

If you can find a friendly MOT station or just do as cully says

Not worth the hassle really, better to run the cat as they are clamping down on decats.

get a sports cat

may seem a lot of money but the time/hassle it will save in the future plus not running the risk of running a decat will be well worth it
