Title: MFA clocks?

On my dashboard i have a big black blotch where the time should be so im looking at buying another speedo on ebay however the one im looking at has MFA (mpg thingy) on it which mine doesnt, is it possible to put this in, and get this working, in mine?

Sounds like the crystal has leaked.  The clock doesn't need anything but power so you should be OK but i'm not sure if the connections at the back are the same... Damn, i've got the opposite problem, clock is fine but all the other functions died since it was off the road,  :sad:

I tried using the MFA on mine... when I press the button on the stalk it sprung out of the stalk and that was the end of that!!  :laugh:

I had the same problem.
I got mine off a similar year POLO from the breakers.
easy enough job.

i have a spare set of stalks but haven't fitted it yet
