Hey!
I already have a JBL active sub bass tube set up in my car -
Now I have a JBL PX600 power amp that I was going to use to power the door and parcel shelf speakers in the car.
To power the new amp, would it be ok use the same 12v source that is going to the active sub? Or will I need to run a seperate cable to the battery for the amp?
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks
Alex

I would run a new cable to the power cap just for piece of mind that not everything will go down if the fuse blows

What gauge wiring are you using at the moment?
What are the specifications of the amplifier and active subwoofer that you're using?
If the total current draw of the two items is suitable for the wiring installed the best method would be to terminate that wire in a fused distribution block and run a separate cable from that point to each piece of equipment.

Hi thanks a lot for the responses -
@S11EPS: I'm not sure of the exact specs but the sub will be about 100w and the amp probably 2x150w (RMS)
Also not sure what guage the wiring is, it all came with the car but it looks about as thick a cable you could imagine for this sort of thing.
Cheers
