Title: MFA clocks in my MK2 1.3c
Post by: Andyfitz on 18 March 2005, 21:47
Hey guys and gals!

First post here is about fitting a set of MFA clocks to my 1987 Golf 1.3c

I removed the clocks from another golf the same as mine, I was scrapping it as it was rotten behond repair (couldent beleve it ether ;)) So it's gone now.

I was rushed for time and dident get a chance to trace all the wires.

My question is this.. I know it can go in the car but how and what do I need to rewire?

I have the stalks and clocks of a VDO make, I have a standard 1.3c Golf and a urge to put them in it!

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

BTW car pics will be online tomorrow for you all to view also with a breakdown of my project ;)

Thanks again!

If the clocks are the 2 plug (early) type they'll fit straight in and work fine apart from the MFA.  To get the MFA going you'll need to read this:

Yep there the early type :) I wanted the rev counter more than anything, so if it's all gonna work appart from the MFA then I will throw them in and wire the MFA up when I can be arsed.

BTW will the MFA display the time without wiring up the rest?

I'll be putting a rev counter cluster in my 1.3 when I finally get it over here
