nobody got 1 then, yeah right...its not the KGB

I think most people run a forge 007 recirc valve and not a dump valve as the 1.8t doesnt seem to like them, have you read the section at the top of the page..."can i fit a dump valve"
thats why no has replyed to your Q...

i think i know what u mean mate. it is a split - r that you have, but by turning the top of it, it will click around 50 times. turning it a certain way will make the piston inside a lot stiffer to move (to retain boost pressure when running a lot of boost i guess?). i've had one in the past, and found that by turning it all the way one way until it stops will either give you a longish dump sound, or give u a 'short and sharp' dumping sound. all depends what way you turn it really and i cant remember myself! there will be a science behind it, but i originally bought mine for the noise  . i was advised to change to a forge 007p for my remap so sold it. sure someone will be able to explain better for me!

ive got a split r on mate and cant fault it, ive turned mine half way on the turn on full recirc and im remapped to 197, i have no issues at all
-
yeah mines had a remap too, how many clicks roughly scooby did you do dont want to mess owt up,
many thanks gumie

mine is rougly 56 clicks from end to end, counted back 28 ish and left it like that, not sure if thats how it should be but g werks passed it on remap testing so that will do me!!

nice 1 fella that will do me....

i have one of these on my aum and its ok but try screwing the blanking plug on instead of the flute and see if theres any difference,
mine was alot more responsive

Does that not just make it a fully recirc valve?
Why not just buy a 007p?
-
yea makes it full recirc, people get the split r valve for the woosh sound
-
What can it be blanket off by mine goes woosh but novolty is getting boring now lol

i only paid 80 quid for it and i have best of both worlds
was using it with the flute at first , then changed it to see the difference
for me it made a good noticeable difference so kept the blanking plug on
-
were could i buy a blanking plug ???
-
i had a forge split r fitted on mine but changed for a 007p, throttle response seems a little better now with full recirculation
-
Run a Forge 007 much better in the long run.

4 clicks clockwise will hold boost ok and give you that whoosh sound open it anymore and you will get lag and you will notice it ... turn it and take the car for spin till feels right
