Title: Anyone know a good VW Specialists near Henley/Reading?
Post by: Horney on 18 March 2005, 09:21: I tried and tried to change my top shock mounts but just couldn't get the top nyloc nut off, let alone get to the slotted nut underneath. This has left me having to hire a car for the weekend when I have two cars sat on my drive :-(

I'm loathed to take it to my local VeeDub dealer as they'll charge the earth.

The golf is really starting to get on my nerves. I love it, but working on it is a complete pain and if things get anyworse I'm gonna scrap it and go back to a rover 214 :-(
