Title: Engine code?

Does the 8v gti have an engine code, mine had a new engine fitted by previous owner last year and im unsure in the engine code, where would i find it?

Front of the engine, just have a look down under the cylinder head join and you should see it (gearbox end)

MK2 k-jet is EV... DX was the MK1 engine I think?
