Title: Buggered cd player?

Just got my lovely GTI the cd player was great up until today, now its just spitting cds out saying read error?? any ideas other than its cattled   :cry:

Is it just rejecting copies or original CDs? If both then the unit is faulty but can be repaired.

Doing it to both.. ive seen them on ebay for about £40 but im thinking of buying a more modern unit with maybe an mp3 function in it, not that i want to change the look of the dash, but how long will a second hand unit last?? how much s a repair?

No idea on the cost of repair, best bet is speak to a decent ICE shop.
