Title: Another Drilled Air Box
Post by: benjam_in on 19 May 2003, 17:25
I've got a drilled air box on my mk2 gti 8v with a pipercross element it sounds mean! I've been told that the throttle body of an audi 2.2 fits on nicely and gives you more power? has anyone else heard this or better still done it?

I've got an audi 2.2 throttle body and have compared it with the Mk2 one. They look exactly the same.........same size butterflies etc., I'll have another look and get the verniers on it.
They are certainly bigger than the Mk1's throttle body..........future mod planned ?:P

You need an audi warm up regulator to go with the throttle body because you need extra fuel when warming up to compensate for the extra air flow ?
