For those that are interested... I asked the seller and the sale does include the original keys and ignition barrel to avoid any costly immobiliser coding to the ecu by the dealers.

Seriously though, as much as I would love it, I haven't got the time at the moment to do the conversion, so it would only end up sitting around. Just curious to see what it actually goes for.

I am thinking of buying and restoring a mk1 as a project, that engine would be pukka!! ?:sad:

I could lay my hands on ?500 without too much problem but I would be absolutely gobsmacked if thats all it ended up going for! I would have thought that would go for nearer ?1200 to ?1500.

difinately interesting -however i have jsut bought myself a vr6 lump to slap in my new project so im afraid i wont be buying it.
