Would need major work as a mk1 is smaller.

Looked into similar a while back and found all sorts of cr@p that put me off the idea.
I believe its a ball ache because mk3 seats rear legs are wider than those on a mk1, there's either cutting and welding required or
some people suggest stripping the mk3 and the mk1 seats and rebuildng the mk3 stuff on the mk1 frames. Sounds like too be much hassle to me and that's just for the fronts seats.

yeah that does sound like a lot of trouble, what seats will fit a mk1 cabby?

All other Mk1's  Mk2s with a slight mod to the slider lever (corrado's, jetta's of the same era fall under this as well I think). If you get new after market subframes then there are plenty of seats about but then it depends on budget. With work though you can fit pretty much anything!

front non recaro seats are easy, just fit post-90 mk2 frames and they slide right in. rears lot more work though

awesome
im on the hunt for some new seats now... would love some leathers if possible!
