Title: What Pressure Are Your Tyres At?
Post by: KennyGTI on 27 March 2011, 20:04
Just had a wee look at the pressure my tyres are meant to be, 36 psi, and wondering if everyone follows VW guidelines or thinks that's a little high? Personally I think it's a tad high, generally with all my cars I always put 32 all round. What people think?

Kenny

p.s how do you make your boot lights stay on (inners) when you open it? Had a look on vagcom today without any luck

Mine are at 2.6 bar (38 psi) which is what it says on the fuel flap for half load.

Kenny,
What do you expect with your rock hard lowered suspension?
Mine are at 2.6 bar (38 psi) and the ride is quite dandy with ACC in 'Comfort' mode.

I'd dearly like to know.  My tyre pressure warning light came on as I was driving home tonight.

In the glove compartment just above the switch to turn the passengers Airbag off.
Hold it in for a few seconds and it resets itself to the current setting.

Just read what it says on the fuel filler flap.

Mine says 2.4bar - 35.2psi front and rear normal load. Full load 2.6bar - 38psi front and 3.0 - 44psi rear.
