Title: Power Steering Pipe Damaged
Post by: godsANGER on 25 March 2011, 23:55
Oks i was checking my fluid levels and thought would have a poke about still looking for my boost leak, and found this

The only times i can think that any works been done in that area was when i had my cam belt done January last year and  when i had my engine mounts changed last year june/july time.

i ve been losing a little amount of power steering fluid but thought it was from my banjo connections to the P/Steering pump could it just be from this damaged pipe and the liquid going down the pipe and going on the the connections ?

Thanks thats the plan, a bit annoying that its been damaged like nearly a year and not noticed and that the garage must have done it glad i dont use them anymore. I am guessing there the same across the range, where would the best place to get a replacement if stealers whats the part number and price?

Pirtek could match it and make a replacment, however due to H & S law they tend to steer clear of PAS pipes, all you can do is to ask them.

If no joy your looking @ VW
