Just wondering if any of you have trouble with your in dash cd changer? I thought it was the speakers at first but it's the CD changer. Loads of interference and crackling, bloody annoying!! I've also narrowed it down to copied CD's as well. All my other vw's I've had they've worked fine. Any help would be appreciated

Ours seems to pick up electrical interference (ie high pitch whining related to engine speed) that the tape or radio doesn't pick up.... :undecided:
-
isnt this due to a bad earth !

Where did you hear that mate? You know of any other threads?

take the headunit and cd changer out and its the big fat brown wire connected to them... you might have to follow it through to find the prob.. if its conected fine on the unit
did you install the indash changer yourself or did it come as standard on the car??
-
Rip it out and throw it in the bin,the std head unit has crap sound quality, upgrade to a usb only alpine unit.

It's the standard CD changer and head unit. How do they come out? Take the silver side strips off and screw out I guess? It's a Anni model if there's any difference
