Title: tapping noise in cabin
Post by: craigus on 24 March 2011, 19:28
hey all, been driving my mk5 gt tdi today and and for some strange reason i have an annoying tapping noise which sounds like its coming from the drivers side footwell.. its not the "normal" air con noise it sounds like a relay clicking sort of noise, turned stereo off, auto lights and wipers off and climatronic off and can still hear it, it also does it when u just turn ignition on without engine running, was wondering if anyone had had same sort of problem, btw the car is a 54 reg...

cheers in advance

I get this occasionally too in my petrol GTI (08 plate). It seems to be more often when the engine is cold and seems to come from the right side of the cabin.
