Title: Glove Box removal
Post by: J_B on 05 September 2003, 16:41
Help needed again - I am going to fit a 6cd changer into the Glove Box of 1991 Golf GTI (16v if it makes a difference)

There are about 8 screws you can easily undo that loosens the glove box but does not allow it to be removed - is there a trick to this or are there more parts of the interior that have to go before the glove box will come out

Reason I want to remove it is that I would rather the changer was secured in the glove box rather than rattling around

Cheers

John

You may have to remove the trim under the glovebox to get at some hidden screws or there maybe studs holding it in. When i changed my airbag on my mk3 for a glovebox, the airbag had studs on it, but as far as i remember the glovebox was just held in with screws.
