OK, a bit misleading, but it is as if my car reads The Times to see when it should put the headlights on and off.
Is there a way to configure the threshold for when the auto lights consider it to be dark enough for the lights to come on? I find mine come and on and go off on my morning run to work and it'd be nice to make them wait for it to get a bit darker to come on.
As in the words of Roy Castle, "Calibration's what you neeeeeeeeeeeed!"

Im almost certain you cant change this.
Having said that, it might be possible with laptop.

I'm not sure that you can adjust the light sensitivity with VCDS but I'm only a novice with it.

There is a Light Sensor Correction option in [09] Cent. Elect. module, #2 in the drop down list after going into the coding option, which is set depending on what tinted glass is installed in the car.
Maybe changing this would effect how much light is needed to trigger the Autolights.

Please don't fiddle as roadkill levels will increase.
However, there is nothing as satisfying as 'morning glory'.

The only purpose that serves is to stop you rolling out of bed.
As for auto lights, I've always thought they never come on soon enough for my liking.

I tend to use mine to pole vault into the bathroom.
As for auto lights, I mostly use the manual light switch option ie. turning the lights on and off when I feel they need to come on and off, it's not exactly hard work and is the only option on most of the vehicles I use daily anyway. I do use the auto wipers though.

My GTI doesn't read newspapers as they are normally biased one way or the other.

And also because the GTI is not into roadkill, warts and all.
