Title: Mk4 Gear Knob Problems
Post by: Col5632 on 21 March 2011, 20:02: Wanted to update the horrible "wood trim" gear knob so i bought a rubber black one on ebay, got the wooden one off almost no problem however the new gear knob (which should fit) appears to be alot wider round the neck of it and doesnt seem to go on the same way the wooden one does.

I have taken 2 pictures of each gear knob and hopefully somebody can help me sort out this problem.

Not sure if im honest, i assumed most would be the same

Any ideas what i can do to make it fit and the plastic would snap if i put a jubliee clip on it :O

Works perfectly, no probs in 4 months at all!! :wink:

(No doubt I'll be in for some stick for even suggesting this :embarassed:, but hey, it worked!!)

ive done that before no trouble wiv mine either lol :grin: :grin: :huh:
