hi guys need some help had my car remaped by elite remaps last week and the car was great really fast and responsive that day i drove home and felt a missfire the guy who did the map said that i might have some issue for a few days as the ecu is adjusting any way over weekend the exsaust light started flashing and missfiring again.
so this morning got into car the light is on all the time constantly and the missfire is still there never had any issues before the remap
ive uprated the dv for a forge item
ive heard of peaple needing 1 degree colder sparkplugs when theve had there remapd
can anyone help as cant afford any exspensive bills at the mo
is this down to the map

One simple fix that may work is disconnect the battery and leave it for 24hours. This will make the map forget almost everything and have to re-learn the values. I did this on my astra van after noticing no real noticable gains from putting on a much larger grill mounted air intake, de-restricing the air box and k&n filter. Somone suggested this and straight away it pulled stronger and felt much more nippy. Worth a try

apparently(!) disconnecting the battery and bridging the +ve and earth leads together will drain all the juice from the eletrical system in a few seconds :smiley:
