Title: speedo,help plz !!!!!!!!

hi,i've just fitted a second hand set of dials to my mk 4 2.0l gti but immob has activated and car wont start? the dials are the same codes etc but they came from a 18t would this make a difference? i have only swapped because my case is cracked so if they wont fit can i swap cases? all help gratefully recieved cheers, :smiley: :smiley:

They need recoding mate.   Just take the case of the new ones and put them on the old ones

You can only swap the case if the clusters are the same make ie both VDO or both RB8 otherwise they will need coding in :afro:

thanks, how do i recode m8, does the cluster have to be on car etc,cheerz
