Hi everyone, does anyone know if these MK6 OEM LED number plate lights will work with a MK5 (physical fit and be free of light out errors)?

These seem to work on the Scirocco and on the MK4, see http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/p/411061/2814209.aspx (http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/p/411061/2814209.aspx) including pics and a PDF for the MK4.

No as can be shown by VCDS. The newer versions of the software on the managment systems of the car there is options to enable LED lights or standard lights. So if you fit these to a mk5 you will get a lights out warnings.

You need to buy LED lights with built in resistors to get around the blown bulb issue, like these - http://bit.ly/ewBCBh
