With prices going up at 1.43 per litre am considering biofuel....whats your view (apart from smelling like a chip shop?!)
-
If I could go that way, then I would, downside is the more frequent oil changes. Part from that power-stations have been doing it for quite some time.
-
also dont you need more frequent fuel filter changes ??

Believe so, I know alot of the petrol mob in the states use E85 and there was a thread floating about converting a 1.8T to use E85 diy style. Same consequences as diesels in more frequent filter and oil changes.
Mind you I wish I bought a bora over a golf :( ah well always a temptation in getting a bora TDI, how you getting on with your derv tech?
-
im not used to it at all.. prefer petrol so much more the derv is not a fun drive and the rev limit toooooo low for me lol

ermm no lol.. just keep buying stuff

It costs me the same now with the TDI as it did with 1.8T as i just cover more miles.. i do about 400+ miles a week lol so diesel for me isnt cheaper

You need to do a lot of miles to see a saving with a diesel.

yer very true// the saving so far is pretty minimal.. also if this goes wrong i have no idea how to fix it.. if my 1.8t went wrong parts were so readily available..  might get another 1.8t

I am honestly looking for another 1.8T.. Ive trawled through pistonheads and autotrader... and for what i can afford insurance wise.. the 1.8t (150bhp) version is the best all rounder.. I cant see it being a AGU as i will want a swap for my Cupra and lets face it not many AGU's are worth over 3.5k lol
