Title: going to view a polo coupe, any pointers?

i know its not golf related so please dont shout at me lol, since my mk3 blew up on me am looking to replace it with a 92 polo coupe 1.0, does anyone have any pointers or stuff to look out for on them as dont really have any experience with them.
any help very greatly appreciated.

The filler neck on the fuel tank can rot out, other than that just you usual secondhand car stuff for a vehicle that is nearly 20 years old.

Check for rust on the battery tray under the (scuttle tray?). Mate of mine has had a few and said that rust there can penetrate very far and is difficult to fix.

The fuel tank itself is also well known for rot.

cracks in the welds at the bulkhead / chassis leg junction iirc.
