Title: mkii 16v spark plugs
Post by: the_stink on 16 March 2011, 13:19
bought some Bosh super 4's 503 as thats what the computer in halfords said and on the little chart they had was correct, got a niggling feeling they arent the right ones as the nut seems rather large or are they fine?

if the socket you use to take your old plugs wont fit the new ones then they're wrong. if they seem big then i recon you have 8v ones there

these are what you want

personaly i dislike bosch super 4's anyway   there on old tech long life plug (  multi electrode give less wear on any one electrode so longer service life but they cause flame shaddow and tend to get fouled quite quickly ,   a more modern plug desing like an singel point iridium NGK lasts as long without the downsides they are also more rsistant to fouling
