Had a few good changes to the car the last few days and today I managed to fit another one. Stubby Lupo mirrors
I resprayed both the mirror covers and base plates in Satin black to give them a nice even finish.
Here are some pics:

I wasn't to sure to start with but the more I've looked at them through out the day the more that have grown on me
-
very nice there bud.....do POLO mirrors fit as well...
-
Not sure mate, I've only heard of the lupo one's fitting.
-
Polo 6N2 will work..
Next up get your hand on some blue glass
-
I really dont know what i make of them....... When i was in tenerife, all the mk4's had a stubby mirror mirror on the passenger side......... Looked kinda odd but havnt seen symmetrical stubby mirrors in the flesh. Certainly a good colour contrast!
-
Yeah thought about the blue glass earlier. I'm gunna have a look on ebay to see if i can find a pair.

2 Questions here Mowlam.............
1. Are they easy to fit (the Lupo Mirrors)? I mean, is it just a straight swap for the old electric ones, plug & play? :undecided:
2. What you doin with the old mirrors? I'm after the cases
-
Yes they are a straight swap mate. The old mirrors were part of the deal for the lupo's. It was cash plus my original mirrors however the cases I had on them were from ebay so I still have my original reflex silver one's if you fancy them.
-
yhese are on my list of bits to aquire from breakers if ever i see them! but i only ever find one.. and cba lol look  mate!
-
The guy I got mine from often get's them from scrapyards etc. I'll see if he has anymore if you want?

the price id pay at the scrap yards il keep my eyes peeled.. i know what these go for on the bay! no doubt he would want silly ££ for them?
-
I won't say the price I paid as he is a mate but i think he normally sels them for about £100-£120 for the set. Probably better off looking in the scrappies. I wouldn't have got them if he hadn't offered me the set for what he did.

yeah i bet

Ebay bargains and scrap heap treasure is what its all about, thrill of the chase eh Mowlamb

How much for the Reflex Silver cases mate? (posted to Plymouth). I want to spray them black, so don't mind scratches etc, but don't want them if they have cracks.
Let me know
