Title: Misfire on initial startup
Post by: Jonnybbad on 15 March 2011, 09:55
Hi all

I'm getting a misfire on intial startup it only does it under load if I rev the engine it's not there only last bout a min then it's fine.I've scanned it and it doesn't show any faults or codes

I've had it serviced recently hopeing it would cure this problem but it's still there

Any ideas

Thanks Jon

Yeah Bosch 1 from GSF it seems to be getting worse now coughing and spluttering but if you leave it to tick over for a few seconds it's fine

Could be a coil pack issue

Oh ok I was just thinking if it was a boost leak it would leak constantly and misfire constantly aswell but it doesn't only just for like a min then clears

Would a coilpack breaking down do this

Is there a way of testing each coilpack to find out if it is them I know the old fashion way but like I say it only does for like 1 min so gonna be a bit difficult to do that way

Sorry for all the question it doing my cannister in
