Guys,
As you know, I've got the 110bhp 2.0TDI, there was/is a set of GT brakes on ebay, they're different to mine so can only assume they're bigger. With me getting a remap this year, I could do with bigger brakes, they seem to be a full setup, but would I need anything else? Not that clued up and brakes :(
Cheers,
Dan.

Hi, i've got some Mk5 GTI Brakes, full set up front and rear (disks, calipers(red), carriers, pads, hoses, etc...) if your interested, PM me with an offer?

Hmmm, don't know how they'd fit, I assume GT brakes would be easier to fit then GTI brakes? Would look rather nice and have a lot better stopping power, anyone know how these would fit?

They should fit..but i dont know nothing  can't see why they wont..
imo i think there isn't much point. From just a remap your car isn't going to be crazy fast for you to have the need for better brakes. But if you plan for bigger power and maybe if they're cheap then why not..

Endy,
The 110bhp is a de-tuned version of the 140bhp, so it maps to about 185-190bhp, that's a big increased for the standard brakes to cope with :( That's what I mean, the GT has bigger brakes then mine so I'm unsure?

From my limited knowledge, i think the GTI brakes will fit with no problems, as long as they're under 17" maybe 16" alloys. They're 312mm at the front so should stop your car pretty quickly and if you want to mod any more they should be sufficient up to about 230bhp giving you a bit of leeway. I'm open to offers on my set!
