Hi, as I have just bought a mk1 gti I am being very protective of her! Therefore I want a car cover, I have looked about but can only find universal ones. Does anyone know if there are specific golf car covers onsale? If so where and how much?
Thanks in advance
However please be quick in replying, I'm getting annoyed chasing birds away from my pride and joy!

I bought an expensive one for my mk1 (around ?150 if I remember correctly). Its very good and is totally protecting it whilst it is stored in the garden, awaiting project commencement.
Just trying to remember where I got it from. I'll try and find the receipt.

This is where I got it from:-

I wanted a good one as I knew it was going to be a fair while before I got around to carrying out this project.
This is the one I actually went for:-

make sure its not flapping around in the wind if its not soft lined or you will loose paint

I just bought a universal one from argos about 2 1/2 years ago, it was soft lined and all that.
My car just spent 4months under it through the winter and it looked as clean and shiny last weekend when I uncovered it as the day I put it away. No damp had built up or anything, it's certainly best to make sure you allow the cover to move about a bit in the wind in order to let the car breathe and dry out any condensation. I threaded a bungee cord round behind each wheel then used some of those big clips you see on market stalls to clip them onto the cover. In strong wind it would inflate above the car like a tent but always stayed put.
Just noticed my winter banger is under the cover in my sig pic!

it just i bought a cheap unlined one once and lost some paint on the corner of the samba
