... badger!
This time, however, a bit more damage was done. Looks like I need a new fog lamp, a grille or two, some of the wheel lining, some brackets and a load more.
I'm just trying to get a list of the parts of ETKA and I have a quick question for those in the know; what does the "Model" column mean and what model would a 2011 GTD be?!
And for those that are worried about the badger, after doing a forward roll for about 50 yards, it then scurried off in to a field. I tried to look for a few minutes, although slightly lost heart when I saw the front of the car!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :undecided:
It's a tad OTT what you did to the partridge. Needs must. And to the badger?  :embarassed:
So sorry this has happened.

I had to laugh at the title - I'd change it as it sounds a bit
You are clearly a wildlife magnet!Perhaps ETKA has a part nummber for bull horns or similar?!!?
I can't help you with the parts/ETKA but feel for you - hope you get it sorted soon
-
@Buck: not as much as I laughed when I re-read the title! Thanks!
-
I hit a pheasant not too long ago in my ST, it obliterated the bumper and the cheeky little chappie was fine!
-
Sell the GTD and get one of these (incidentally they don't have seatbelt warning chimes fitted)!!!

OUCH! not only for the damage but for that poor fisted partridge!
-
Fisting badgers.....
Hope your cars ok, fecking badgers get on my wick anyway

Took whole bumper off and had a good look. (Getting fast at this now!)
If I don't claim on insurance, I should be able to get away with the grilles and the fog lamp bracket. A bit or araldite on the fog lamp should fix that.
If I do decide to claim, then I need:
- bumper
- fog lamp
- fog lamp holder
- inner wing lining (front section)
- engine tray
- headlight bracket
- other bits of trim
- honeycombe grille
- grille surround for fog lamp
Just need to find out costs for the bits I need to see if I'm under my excess!
Here's the ETKA printout: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8035571/forums/www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/badger.pdf (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8035571/forums/www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/badger.pdf).

To be honest the worst bit. Can see is where the bumper has burst th screw where I meets the wing
Feel for you mate.

It's all back together now and looks fine, apart from the missing grille bits.
Anyway we're all fine. Was a bit of a shock at 65mph at 1:30 this morning! Bet the badger wasn't expecting it either. That'll teach him that Xenon lights mean get out the flipping road! He should enter in to the Olympics for forward rolls!

Thats good news - shame the grills are not cheap :(
Had another laugh at the gymnastic badger!
