Title: is it worth an upgrade

hi guys went for tracking to be done saturday they said the track rod ends were seized so they need to be replaced my question to u guys is are the standard 1s good enough or can i get better 1s. 1.8t aum lowed about 30-40mm.thanks for any help.

bit of heat and tapping with hammer should free them off. crack the nut off and see if the rod will turn

I agree bit of heat on the locking nut and the end should free them off




They will need to free them off to change them anyway???????

I replaced mine with standard items as they pretty cheap anyway and it was a quick job. I'm lowered about 55mm.

shouldnt need heat, crack the nut on the tie bar, take the nut off the ball joint then tap with a hammer.

if the ball joint is bust i usually rip the rubber and grip with mole grips, or cut it.

can you even get uprated track rod ends?

Standard ones will be fine.

Try to avoid using heat as that can cause more problems sometimes
